I don't comment often, but after a Fresh install of Windows 10 I was having this issue on both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Your solution fixed it for Chrome.
I hope that Google knows of this, because it was damn annoying and took me some crazy searching to find your fix. Thank you so much. I prefer to use Edge over the Netflix App as it's the other way around for me on smoothness, but I haven't tried the new Chromium-based Edge yet as I also run 4K NF and don't seem to have luck with it in Chrome itself Is anyone from this thread still experiencing this fault?
I am Oh yea, disabling Widevine isn't an option if you;re using Firefox or Edge. I also have have this issue since some time. Playing the video in windowed mode works fine. Very annoying Funny thing is the stuttering completely dissapears for me when I disable subtitles on fullscreen Some people found that's happening since latest W10 update.
I tried changning refresh rate and some other things, but that's the only thing that helped me for now. Disabling subtitle shadow in your Netflix account settings can help too in some cases. I'm only using W10 UWP app as it's the only one that can carry 5. It happens whenever there are graphics overlayed onto the fullscreen video ie.
Subtitles are also "graphics" so it happens with subtitles as well. Chrome and FireFox don't have this issue the latest versions, anyways. Is this ever going to be fixed? If I used 2 monitors I can't watch stuff without stutters One monitor is fine. I have the same problem Any method for fix this? My tv connected with laptop also has similar problem.
On the display of laptop, there is no problem. This problem is just on TV when it is connected with laptop. During last 1month, i've tried fix this problem but now i give up.
I just pray for perfect update coming window or nvidia soon. The same thing happens to me with all the latest drivers in mb, gfx, cpu. It's the subs for me that create the problem. When I go fullscreen I see small stuttering and when using window mode it's all fine. Also the widevine dll has special distribution with chrome, every other extension is distributed via the normal component updates, but chrome dev's distribute this dll with chrome installer itself which means its updated much more aggressively, the widevine developers "really" do not want people using old widevine DRM code.
My problem is tho widevine has turned into a buggy mess that cripples my entire system, I load up netflix and suddenly I get stutters that occur every second until I reboot the pc system wide.
